Clubbing At The Hub
Clubbing At The Hub

Alyssa - Hi, everyone. Steve and I are here at The Hub to see whether it really is the centre of Downtown or not.
Steve - It's a real ripper boozer, guys. I've really got to have another go in that spinny thing again.
Alyssa - What Steve means is that he really likes this nightclub and has had a good time in the electro dance sphere. While he has another spin, I'll tell you more about this place and how our evening has gone so far.

There are several nightclubs and karaoke bars in Downtown but "The Hub" did come highly recommended. The whole club is very stylish and definitely the type of place for us to dance the night away. We had a few drinks at the bar and then Steve and I had a long slow dance. This was very romantic. However, I think the design has been changed. It seems a lot smaller and darker inside than the publicity videos showed.

You've already been told how you can have a DJ booth, dance floor and lights at home. That's if you have the money. However, it is when you are at a club that they really come into their element. For those skilled enough, they can DJ themselves for a while and get paid. I understand that vampires can only really come out at night so this would be a good sideline for them. The lights, fluorescent cubes and fluorescent dance floors can be programmed to your own preferences. This gives you quite a lot of options on how a club appears.

Unless you're being the DJ yourself, you can request what sort of music the DJ plays and also try and group your friends together to do the Smustle. However, those are for groups and Steve and I are just here on our own while John and Martha are over the road. We're not doing the Smustle on our own and risk looking ridiculous. It does look quite cool when there is a group on the dancefloor, though.

Slow dances are very cool and the better things are going, the more nested interactions you get. With Steve and I being so close, we got them all. Resting head on shoulder, sliding hands down, kiss, the works. A lot of fun.

Steve - So true, doll.
Alyssa - As you're back, you can tell the viewers about the electrodance sphere. I'm getting myself a drink.

Getting Spinny With It

Steve - Sure thing. Well, the spinny thing is pretty spiffy. It's almost as fun as wrestling crocs. I should really get one for home. You get to set how hard it is too. To do well, you need some muscle otherwise it bails you out with a bump and you look like a right dipstick. Some people are scared witless from going in the spinny thing in case it does that to them. For those built like a brick outhouse, you'll have no problem and you'll get a real buzz from the ride it gives you. If you've got one in the home, it helps you become a beefcake and have the muscle to handle them while you're out and be able to impress the sheilas. Anyway, it's my shout so I'd better get these in.

Mentioning Groups

Alyssa - While Steve is getting the barmaid's attention, I'll tell you something about groups. We are here tonight on our own as a couple. We're not even on a date as such. Groups, however, are a quick way of getting out with a lot of people. Everyone can select their own groups. These groups can be for different purposes. Making up a foursome for poker, getting a bowling team together, calling friends over to watch the game on the TV, even for students to get a study group together to research together. It all depends how well liked you are by the group members as to whether they'll turn up, though. You can go out together or even have them come to you.
Steve - There was an unofficial group outing a few days ago. John gathered as many of the old Sim Brother housemates up to go bowling. We didn't stay long - we had other things to do - but I gather Martha and John had a great time. She can tell you all about it. I'm off back to have another go on the spinny thing and we'll let you find out about dining with John and Martha.
