I just got a new computer and tried installing TS2 and it stops at 23%, I exchanged the CDs for a new set and it STILL freezes. Help me get past 23% ! I want to play my game!

Try another drive. if available, or return to place of purchase for support. New computers should not be doing that.

Has anyone solved this? Exactly the same problem - brand new computer with spec that should be more than enough for Sims 2 and installation freezes on inserting disc 2 or 3. This is the second set of discs! ... and yes, I have closed down the backgrond programs etc like it says. I see there are some other threads on this - how can EA get away with produces such a bad program?
